Doctrinal Statement
As the New Testament church was created on the day of Pentecost with an in filling of the Holy Ghost, so is the present day church created in that same likeness. Our Purpose is to believe in the absolute truth of Acts 2:38 which states that we MUST repent, be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost to be saved, which is the first and primary purpose in each and everyone’s life. Our Goal is to live a consecrated, holy life as laid out in the written word of God, the Bible. Our Mission is to reach out to others in our community and share the gospel of Jesus Christ without respect of persons and compel all men to come and share in the gift of salvation.
The Scriptures
The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16) presenting to us the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of all men, and is the only book by which to guide our life on this earth (2 Peter 1:21).
The Godhead
We believe there is only one true and living God, who is everlasting, infinite in power, wisdom and goodness; that He is the Creator of all things, visible and invisible, and Preserver of all things. He is the Father in Creation and the Son in Redemption. The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost are titles, and those titles belong to Jesus Christ as the one, true God for all eternity.
Salvation
Salvation is made possible only through the obeying of Acts 2:38. Godly sorrow works repentance and makes possible the experience of the new birth, and Christ formed within us is the gift of eternal life.
Repentance
Repentance is the act of performing a 180 degree turn in both attitude and action and committing to ask forgiveness of past sins and focus on following God’s plan for salvation.
Water Baptism
Baptism in water is by full immersion, a direct commandment of our Lord (Matthew 28:19), and is a type and shadow of being buried in the Lord and having all sins wiped away to be remembered no more. It is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. (Acts 2:38)
The Baptism of the Holy Ghost
The Baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire (Matthew 3:11), is a gift from God, as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers, and is received as part of the new plan of salvation laid out in Acts 2:38. The Baptism of the Holy Ghost is accompanied by speaking in other tongues as God Himself gives utterance as the initial physical sign and evidence (Acts 2:4).
